Wax Collars Help to Lessen Drips

wax collars, waxing supplies, waxing at home

If you're like me, even with the greatest intentions of leaving the bathroom spotless after a d.i.y. wax, you may end up scrubbing off dried wax from the sink. One accessory, although not absolutely necessary to removing the hair, is extremely helpful - - the wax collar (compare prices). It fits around the underside rim of the wax pot by being slipped on from the bottom so that drips are caught, but also helps remove the pot out of the warmer once cooled. When a collar has had its day, you simply tear and take it off since they're made out of a thick paper.

Some technicians like to put a couple on at once so that a new spotless one is waiting. It's also useful for propping up the pot so it isn't as close to the heat if you're using an on/off wax pot and not one with an adjustable temperature.
