Clean and Clear STEAM In-Shower Facial is a deep cleaning and exfoliating face treatment that you use in place of your regular cleanser 2-3 times a week. It works with the steam in your shower to deep clean your face. After about one minute, you gently massage product over your face to exfoliate before rinsing off.

• You can feel that the product is working by a slight tingle on your skin.
• Because of its use of AHAs, the container has important sun warning right on the bottle.

• On the flip side, targeted toward teens, sunscreen isn't something many are good at putting on.

Clean and Clear is a product line that is generally geared towards teens and women in their early 20's to encourage good skin care at an early age. Don't feel as though you can't use their products because you don't fall in that age group. If your skin is combination or a bit on the oily side, go for it.

I waited until my shower was really steamy and then applied a thick layer of Clean and Clear's In-Shower Facial to my face and neck. I was happily surprised to actually feel a slight tingle after about 30 seconds. It wasn't an uncomfortable feeling at all, it just reassured me it was working. After about a minute or so, I gently rubbed the product over my face and neck and felt little exfoliating beads in the product. I knew that I was then removing a layer of dead skin on my face.

I expected to feel dry after using this product seeing it's geared toward teens with oily skin, so it didn't surprise me when I felt a bit tight (I have combination skin). By looking at my face and touching my skin, it was obvious that I treated my face with something new. My skin was smooth to the touch, and my pores looked smaller.

On the back of the tube, under the ingredient list, you'll see a sun exposure warning. Because this product uses AHA's to exfoliate, you'll have to be vigilant about applying sunscreen when using this product, and up to a week after use. The use of AHA's makes the sun more prone to burning. Because the product is geared towards teens, unfortunately I think the warning may not be obvious enough. Teens aren't always particularly good at remembering sun screen in the first place. Use a moisturizer with SPF in it and reapply during the day for additional protection.
