After a wax, usually there is some tweezing of a couple strays to get all of the hair, even with a professional service. What was the problem? Did the person not do a good job? No, not necessarily.
For the wax to grab hold of the hair, it needs to be about ?". Unless you wax often and consecutively, the hair isn't all the same length because of growth cycles. Some hair may be shorter than ?", so it's not grabbed by the wax.
Even if the hair is long enough, there's a chance of it breaking because wax is removed against the direction of growth (unlike sugaring paste which removes hair in the same direction). Unfortunately, sometimes the hair breaks below the skin's surface, so you think it has been removed.
Wax should only be applied once because it's so exfoliating to skin (sometimes hard wax is applied twice). To remove the hair from the root like waxing, the best choice is to tweeze to get the area hair-free. Good tweezers (I like Tweezerman Slant) can get very short hairs.
Tweezing should only be done to fine-tune. If alot of hair remains behind, then there's a problem.
